School shows

We aim to make learning fun and interactive! We have many show packages available, hosted by colourful characters that children can relate to, from 20 minute active movement shows, to 30 minute story-telling shows, to 50 minute productions.

Pre-school

Active Movement Shows

Twenty to thirty minutes long these shows are a great way to encourage imagination and improve co-ordination.

'The Buzz & Beep Bumble Bee Show' focuses on animals, using movement, music and making lots of animal noises.

'Jack & Jill's Nursery Rhyme Show' uses favourite rhymes and songs, like 'Incy-winsy' and 'The wheels on the bus' to encourage co-ordination, confidence and imagination.

Story-telling Shows

Thirty to forty minutes long, these show include stories, songs, movement and surprise characters.

Primary School

A cast of professional actors will travel to your school with one of our inter-active, educational shows.

'Twisted Tales' - designed for students studying fairy tales or stories.

What happens when good fairy stories go wrong? Our Story-Teller has lost some crucial pages from his magical story-book and nothing seems to be as it should. Can you help him sort it out or will the girl in the red hood rewrite all or favourite fairy tales?

Did Cinderella loose a plastic slipper?   How tall is a giant? Why are the step-sisters looking so beautiful?

Find out all the answers and much, much more when you join in the side-splitting, rib-tickling, spine-tingling silliness that is “Twisted Tales”!

This show can be of 35 minute duration or 50 minutes.

Contains original music, includes over 15 different fairy tales and involves audience participation.

“Dear Phineas Phrog, in my opinion you were great to watch. I like the way they kissed and when Jack climbed up the beanstalk that was cool and funny. I was laughing a lot.” Annie (7yrs)Twisted Tales tour 2007, Freeman's Bay Primary

'The Hare & the Tortoise' - based on Aesop's fable.

The slow Tortoise arrives in the Forever Forest and is welcomed by all the animals except the conceited Hare.  It seems it is time for someone to teach the Hare a lesson!

This show teaches children that we should celebrate our differences, that friends help each other out and that being the fastest doesn't mean you always win the race.

50 minutes containing original music, animal facts, audience participation and good messages hidden within lots of fun!

“Dear Phineas Phrog, thank you for the show, it was so spectacular! And I loved it, and it was so funny to. And I hope you do it again and I enjoyed it too.” Scarlett (8 yrs) The Hare & the Tortoise Tour 2009 Edendale Primary

'The Frog Prince' - or never judge a book by its cover

In an upbeat retelling of this favourite fairytale, Princess Matilda is desperate to make the first fifteen at Miss Celia Smithell’s School for Snobby Rich Girls, but first she must deal with the bully, Petunia Poopersnot. However when Matilda tries to take advantage of a passing frog who kindly retrieves her golden rugby ball from the palace pond, she learns the hard way that when you make a promise you must keep it. As the day of the try-outs dawns, Matilda is forced to reconsider her habit of judging on appearances. Could it be that a slimey, disgusting frog holds the key to making all her dreams come true?

50 minutes containing original music, participation, strong messages and remember to always keep your eye on the ball!

"The Frog Prince is a truly wonderful piece of children's theatre, perfectly pitched to please a younger audience, and with enough delightfully clever comic action to keep any adult minders amused and appreciative." Sharon Matthews, 2010 Fortune Theatre, Schools & Public Season

'Rudolph' - a Christmas treat for term four

No one has higher hopes of winning than the lovable Rudolph, but things don’t always go exactly to plan and sometimes finding your dream is harder than you thought.

Its time to deck the halls, jingle those bells and rock around the Christmas tree with a cast of magical characters - from the crazy Christmas fairy who is quite crackers to the wonderfully wacky workshop Elves. Enthusiastic audience participation is encouraged, giggling and guffawing are applauded because ‘tis the season to be jolly.

Its up to you to help Rudolph discover that magical things can and do happen at Christmas time.

50 minutes of fun-filled Christmas madness with a touch of good sense thrown in as well!
