The Hare and the Tortoise

Welcome to the Forever forest home to every animal under the sun.

There’s the wise old owl, the squeaky little mice, the stripy zebra, even the slithering snake. They all live together in perfect harmony, well almost perfect harmony.

The loudest, brashest and most irritating animal of all lives there too! The Hare!

Can nothing stop the Hare boasting and showing off? He thinks he is handsome, he thinks he is clever, he claims he is the fastest of all!

Maybe the arrival of a new animal will wipe the smirk off the Hare’s whiskers. But how can a slow old Tortoise ever outsmart a gloating, over confident Hare?

This version of “The Hare and the Tortoise” is a bright, up bet re-telling of Aesop’s classic fable. Full of fun, imagination, music and morals, this tale will delight, entertain and enlighten children of all ages

The Gingerbread Man

This July join the Phineas Phrog team as they present their brand new production of the Gingerbread Man!

Down on the farm Mrs. MacDonald longs for a child, but baking a magical gingerbread man wasn’t exactly what she had in mind! She loves her tasty creation all the same but this is no sweet treat - this ginger snap is determined to spice things up on the MacDonald farm.

“Run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!”

This crazy cookie is the definition of fast food and he needs to be, as it seems everyone wants to eat him. From a crumble loving cow to a fox with a taste for ginger crunch the Gingerbread Man will need all his crumbs about him to stay in one piece.

Phineas Phrog celebrates it’s tenth birthday at the Bruce Mason Centre with a sparkling new show featuring their favourite performers as you have never seen them before! Full of physical comedy, musical mayhem and culinary delights this theatrical production will delight youngsters and their grown ups alike! For fifty minutes of fun-filled family entertainment you can’t beat the Gingerbread Man!

The Frog Prince

Would you kiss a slimey, slippery, slithery frog? Well it’s time to pucker up!

In an upbeat retelling of this favourite fairytale, Princess Matilda is desperate to make the first fifteen at Miss Celia Smithell’s School for Snobby Rich Girls, but first she must deal with arch rival Petunia Poopersnot. However when she tries to take advantage of a passing frog who kindly retrieves her golden rugby ball from the palace pond, she learns the hard way that when you make a promise you must keep it. As the day of the try-outs dawns, Matilda is forced to reconsider her habit of judging on appearances.

Could it be that a slimey, disgusting frog holds the key to making all her dreams come true?

The Bruce Mason Centre will come alive this October when you get the chance to cheer for Matilda, boo for Petunia and croak with our fabulous Froggy! You even get the chance to meet them all after the show!

Audience participation is encouraged and applauded, especially if you remember to always keep your eye on the ball!

 The Twelve Days of Christmas

What do you do when someone keeps sending you elaborate Christmas gifts?

Can ten Lords a-leaping be crammed in a cupboard? Can noise control stop eleven pipers piping? And who cleans up after the six geese a-laying?

Join the Phineas Phrog team and a cast of talented youngsters as they explore the magic and mayhem of the twelve days of Christmas in this brand new show.

All your festive favourites will be there, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, the Christmas fairy and, of course, Santa Claus!

For jolly tunes and festive frivolity all wrapped up in some Christmas pantomime craziness – this is the perfect yuletide treat for young and old.

So jingle those bells and jump into your one horse open sleigh and head straight to the Bruce Mason Centre for ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’

The Bubbles and Mustard Show

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Maximillion Studios and home of the wackiest radio show ever! Join our tour around the sound studio where the greatest radio show ever to hit the airwaves is recorded. You will see how the clever sound crew makes all the noises and special effects you hear on the radio!

Olive Olsen will be your tour guide and you will get to participate in all the fun. This is a live radio show so anything can (and usually does) happen. So do you have what it takes to help create the adventures of Bubbles the happy goldfish and Mustard the smartest white mouse in the universe?

Phineas Phrog Productions is proud to present a fifty minute live show introducing the imaginative and entertaining world of sound effects.  Suitable for the whole family. Audience participation is encouraged and applauded as young and old help save the day.
